We don’t know if the word made it back home or not but subtraction facts are definitely happening. Through regular practice and the motivational games we designed (inspired by our work with Paul Hoak), we’re getting it! Keep up the good work. This week we add our last 8 facts for a total of 36 facts.

This week we’ll be gearing up for the holiday concert a week from this Wednesday. Please remember to practice your instruments and bring them along on Wednesday.

Charlene asks that we focus on the words to “One Tin Soldier” this week.

Thanks to Sandy Pentak, Lava Mueller and kids in the 3rd and 4th grade for sewing materials into leg bands with bells for our Morris Dancing. Each year we’ve rented bells for the concert. Thanks to Sandy, Lava, Charlene and Brenda, we now have our own to use again and again.

Kids are getting the hang of story elements through out Water Myths unit. In addition to our usual work this week, they will begin writing their own water myths.
