School board meeting 1/3/07 APPROVED
Attending: Lauren Poster - chair, Andy Reichsman – vice chair, Gussie Bartlett, clerk, Francie Marbury, Principal, Tina Shakespeare – interim Assistant Superintendent, David Dezendorf, Chair of the WCSU Technology Committee
The meeting was called to order at 7:05 pm.
David Dezendorf attended the meeting to report on Technology issues in the Supervisory Union. He talked about the history of the Technology Coordinator position and how it came to be that a Technology Committee was initiated to make recommendations and create a job description for the T.C. See attached sheet that lays out issues and recommendations. Discussion – maintenance, integrating technology into curriculum, storing and sharing teaching resources in such a way that other schools in the district could share and take advantage of them, etc. One recommendation is to create an on-going SU Tech committee comprised of each school’s Tech committee to help determine the direction for WCSU technology. Staff feels they need a say.
David left at 7:37pm.
