The paper should be two (2) to four (4) pages long including a brief introduction summarizing the plot of The Slave Dancer. The body of the paper should compare and contrast how certain information on key aspects of the slave trade are presented. Comparisons can be made between the novel (historical fiction) and the packets (secondary historical sources) and or the autobiography of Olaudah Equiano (primary historical source) and or the movie Amistad (historical drama). Your thoughts on which are effective ways to understand the slave trade, whether the fiction added any elements that were missing in the other sources, and what is your preferred mode of learning history are all welcome.

You will have Monday study hall and most of Monday Social Studies class, and Tuesday study hall to work on papers & maps and study for the quiz. You will have Wednesday study hall and class to take the quiz and finish your work on the paper and the map.
