Preschool and Kindergarten, provides a creative climate where children can develop physically, socially, emotionally, and intellectually at their own pace and in developmentally appropriate ways. Learning takes place through play as well as structured lessons and field experiences outside of the school. Throughout the year, students study various aspects of community – both within the school and in Marlboro. They also study units of science which may include insects, the human body, dinosaurs, plants and farm animals.
While developing our own community in the Preschool/kindergarten classroom, children will also make connections with students from throughout the school at recess and lunch as well as with their reading partners in the 3-4th grade and with interns from the Junior High. They also participate in whole school activities such as the weekly All School Sing, Fall Fiesta, and Hogback Day.
