Dear Parents and Community Members of Marlboro School,

Last month, the Marlboro Meeting House Board voted to cease operations in the spring of 2018. For the several months, the Meeting House School Board has had meetings with Marlboro School Board Members and Administrators to prepare a smooth transition from a private preschool to a public preschool.
There were many factors that led to the decision by the Meeting House School Board but two important ones were:
- 1) the ability to provide more hours for children and
- 2) grant more access to resources and opportunities for all Marlboro preschoolers and their
The Marlboro School Board has been in favor of opening a public preschool program for quite some time and included the idea as an action item in their recent Act 46 Plans, approved by the State Board of Education last September.
Since Meeting House’s decision to close, the Marlboro School Board has been working with Marlboro School Administrators to include a new public preschool in the 2018-2019 budget. We are very excited for the ideas that have been bouncing around between Boards and Administrators. While programming is not fully realized, we hope you will join us to discuss what future programming may look like at a community meeting at Marlboro Elementary School on Tuesday, January 16 at 7:00 p.m.
