Dear Parents,
This is such a special time of year and the excitement level is running high. Today, the energy is especially focused on our puppet show which I hope you will see later today. I’ve asked Linda to be our videographer so if you can’t be with us, and I can get some tech help, I’ll try to post it on our website page. Many, many thanks to Saint for the backdrop which she made for us. When we started this project I had lots of big plans but being sick and a snow day waylaid a lot of this. Fortunately, we still have a show to share and that’s what matters. Many thanks also to Linda who is the brilliant puppet creator. This morning the primary class was our first audience. Later today we’ll share it with the junior high and tomorrow the other two classes.
There is also lots of excitement around snack today as Camilla’s parents made Danish pancakes for the whole school. They were delicious eaten with jam. Many thanks to Suzanne and Robert!
Tomorrow, we will join our friends in the junior high for some caroling around town. We will leave school after snack and be back in time for lunch. Please be sure your child is dressed warmly as we may be singing outside. Plans are still coming together as I write. Charlene will join us and I’m sure this group will be a hit with their Jingle Bells.
After the break, we will begin our study of the human body. Many of you know already about the models we make, one system at a time, beginning with the outsides. We will also be learning about the hospital and I suspect the new fantasy hospital will be a popular option during choice time.
I wish you all the best of holidays and great things in the new year. Thanks again for your wonderful children. I look forward to 2010 and being with them again in January.
See you January 4.
Ellen
