Read Friday Notes and you could win $50 Play Money!
Making special valentines with Marjorie on Thursdays has turned out to be a big favorite. Marjorie has brought in beautiful satin ribbon and lace dollies plus special paper from her own stock and the kids are water coloring up a storm….some lucky people are going to get some very special Valentines this year!
Plus I am happy to report that our special challenge playing our money game to win some very cool key penguin, monkey and pig key chains with eyes that light up eyes when you press a button is off to a fantastic start! Everyone is using strengthening behaviors. It’s sometimes hard for me to keep up with handing out money for all the creative and thoughtful actions I am seeing.
Each contest lasts two weeks and even if you only go to AfterSchool only one day a week you can still win because of the way I am counting the money that you make. So whatever amount of money you make for two weeks will be divided by the amount of days you were in AfterSchool and the person with the most money will win.
Do you understand the math? It’s like a word problem. In fact the first 3 kids from AfterSchool who can give me the correct answer written on a piece of paper plus show what each child made will get $50. Here goes:
After two weeks if Paige comes to AfterSchool 10 days and makes $950. Sloan comes 4 days and makes $560. Jackson comes 1 day and makes $125. Julian come 8 days and makes $820. Mckenna comes 7 days and makes $875. Liam comes 2 days and makes $480. Mercer comes 3 days and makes $540. Sequoyah comes 6 days and makes $900. Paul Skye comes 4 days and makes $620. Who wins? Someone else who is winning in AfterSchool is Daniel, who has been doing free rice during his library time to sharpen his math skills. And last Friday in one day he made 4000 grains of rice! A record breaker! Way to go Daniel!
